The Asset Protection Program

The experts inspecting your building are the ones who've built them for a living.

Independent strata repair oversight starts with who is looking at the work. Sentinel is led by licensed BC builders and construction professionals who design, plan, and deliver multi-family buildings from acquisition through key turnover. When an item is identified, we scope it, coordinate the licensed trade or specialist who carries it out, and verify the result. When a scope calls for an engineer or specialist, we bring one in through our own network. Sentinel does not self-perform repair work. Final approval to proceed always stays with the building owner. The only category we do not provide is emergency response.

01

Right scope.

Sentinel confirms what is actually happening on site and defines a scope that matches the building's real condition. No generic templates, and no scope written under emergency pressure.

02

Right people.

Sentinel scopes the work and matches it to the right licensed trade, engineer, or consultant, drawing on a network of professionals already active in BC multi-family.

03

Right oversight.

Sentinel stays involved through the work. We verify completion against the original scope, document outcomes, and update the building record so nothing gets lost between visits.

The five-step response

From issue identified to work completed.

Whether the issue surfaces during a quarterly inspection or between visits, every Sentinel response follows the same structured five steps, so the scope is defined and priced before the work starts.

01

Issue Identified

Documented with photos and inspection notes in the building record.

02

Risk Explained

The problem, potential consequences, and urgency level explained in plain language.

03

Technical Coordination

The appropriate trades, engineers, or consultants identified for council, owner, or property manager approval.

04

Clear Options Presented

Council receives technical options, scope considerations, and recommendation notes to support its decision-making.

05

Work Verified

Sentinel verifies completed work, documents outcomes, and records contractor performance.

From envelope sealing to coordinating a structural assessment by a qualified engineer: the right professional, at the right time, against one building record.

Where Sentinel fits

We don't replace your trades. We make sure the right ones are doing the right work.

Sentinel is designed to complement the relationships your strata already has in place. We work alongside your preferred contractors, support council in evaluating scopes and pricing, and bring in vetted trades where a scope needs one.

Maintenance Contractors

Perform repairs and maintenance when requested. Sentinel helps confirm they are qualified for the scope, verifies the outcome, and records their performance for future reference.

Engineers & Consultants

Provide technical reports, engineering assessments, and specialist analysis. Sentinel helps select experienced professionals already active in the multi-family construction and remediation space.

Specialist Trades

Major restoration, structural, or building-envelope work is recommended under Sentinel oversight, drawing on specialist contractors with the right credentials and insurance coverage, for the building owner to approve.

WHY IT MATTERS

Buildings often carry the cost of translating between an inspector, a building manager, and trades who never see each other's notes. Sentinel holds one record they all work from.

Deterioration is inevitable.
Surprise is not.

Your asset is only as sound as the envelope that surrounds it. Start with a short virtual presentation. We walk through what Sentinel does, answer questions, and let you decide if it fits. No proposal, no commitment, no pressure.
